
How To Know If A Therapist Is The Right One For You
Do you feel comfortable around them?
Do they listen to you?
Do they ask you what kind of goals you have for yourself?
Do they have experience or knowledge in the areas you are seeking therapy for?
Ultimately, you have to trust yourself that the therapist you’re working with is the right one for you. It’s okay to leave therapy (yes, even in the middle of the session) if you feel unsafe. It might take some time and a few emails or consults to find the right therapist for you, but there is someone out there who can help you.
